New Beginnings
Something About Doors Closing and Opening
I find myself at a transitional point in life now, and instead of rushing headlong into another job, I’ve decided to take a deliberate pause to push myself on my creative interests. So that means for at least a number of months (more if things really get rolling), I’ll be focusing on:
Writing and illustrating a graphic short story,
Creating more comics, be they silly or sober, and
Pushing my artistic abilities with drawing and painting in both digital and natural media.
My goal is to post at least once per week, sharing what I’m working on. Mostly, I anticipate these will be images and videos of the cartoons, illustrations, sketches, and paintings that I create, along with a little bit of prose for context of what I’m doing.
My hope is that sharing my work and progress can bring something positive to you, whether it’s a “ha!”, or a “huh!”, affirmation, commiseration, or maybe even inspiration. If you’ve got questions you’re curious about, please feel free to reach out and ask.
I also enjoy writing and take great interest in what’s going on in society, so I’ll occasionally share thoughts or point out things that catch my attention. I’ll keep it focused mainly around life and culture in this space, though.
There will just be free content to start with, but I may add special content like concept sketches or showing the process of creating pieces in the future for paid subscribers if there turns out to be interest in that.
